Portrait of Robin Moisson, meditation teacher

We each start from a different place, but the magic of practice is that mindfulness, opening to the present and letting go are all trainable skills!

My name is Robin Moisson, and I’m an engineer by training turned meditation teacher. I like to bring a pragmatic approach to meditation practice and its infinite facets and applications, and aim to demystify and promote concrete experiences that integrate into daily life.

I first discovered the practice over a decade ago while going through a meaning crisis. I quickly realized I had found a Path that I would become fascinated with, that has since brought profound transformations in my life and relationships. It also led me to spend over nine cumulative months (and counting) in silent intensive retreats in various traditions, including training in The Mind Illuminated and Theravada traditions, and study with well-respected teachers including Dr Tucker Peck, Bhikkhu Analayo and Leigh Brasington.

My approach: in both teaching and practice combines traditional Theravadin Buddhist wisdom with modern sensibilities, emphasizing an embodied perspective. Over the long term I believe integration in daily life is really key, as both a marker and a source of progress, and can be deepened intentionaly. My experiences with Insight Dialogue, Authentic Relating and Circling, and IFS have time and time again showed me that relationships are a deep well of wisdom, that shouldn’t be neglected on the Path.

I teach with a non-dogmatic student-centric approach, recognizing each person as the expert on their own experience. This guides our process, rather than following a single technique or tradition.

After being certified to teach through a 2-year program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach I trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, and Authentic Relating individual and group coaching. I am currently supervised by Dr Tucker Peck, a well-respected clinical psychologist and meditation teacher, and am continuously learning from my mentors, my practice, and supporting people on their journey.

When I’m not on the cushion I also enjoy long distance running and ultramarathons, and am a professional freediver who loves depth and under-ice freediving. These intense practices point me towards another fascinating door of physical letting go, which informs my teaching.
