Portrait of Robin Moisson, meditation teacher

Openheartedness, being in the present and letting go are all trainable skills

My name is Robin Moisson, and I’m an engineer by training turned meditation teacher. I like to bring a pragmatic, demystifying approach to meditation practice and its infinite facets and applications, and promote concrete experiences that integrate into daily life.

I first discovered the practice over a decade ago while going through a meaning crisis. I quickly realized I had found a Path that I would become fascinated with, that has since brought profound transformations in my life and relationships. It also led me to spend over nine cumulative months – and counting – in silent intensive retreats in various traditions, that included training in The Mind Illuminated and Theravada traditions and studying with well-respected teachers like Dr Tucker Peck, Bhikkhu Analayo and Leigh Brasington.

Approach

My personal practice combines traditional Theravadin Buddhist wisdom with modern sensibilities, emphasizing an embodied perspective. I value integration in daily life, as both a marker and a source of progress, and find that it can be deepened intentionally. Experiences with relational practices such as Insight Dialogue, Authentic Relating, Circling or IFS variants led me to consider relationships a source wisdom that shouldn’t be neglected on the Path – as both a mean and an end.

I support people in their practice with a non-dogmatic student-centered approach. Though the process I can offer is informed by the traditions I trained in, I view each person as the expert on their own experience and my goal is to work together to support its unfolding and integration.

Teaching Path

Supporting others in their meditative journey, in whatever way is called for, is one of the most meaningful things I do.

Training to do so is important to me: after completing a 2-year teacher training program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, I trained in Motivational Interviewing with Tucker Peck, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness with David Treleaven, and Authentic Relating individual and group coaching with Sat Prem. I am currently supervised by Dr Tucker Peck, a well-respected clinical psychologist and meditation teacher, and am continuously learning from my mentors and peers, my own practice, and  through supporting people on their journey.
